WHAT'S GOING ON IN WASHINGTON DC

Our Washington DC Memorial Day Guide has many different activities and events to help you and friends celebrate this holiday. The National Memorial Day Parade runs from 7th Street, past the White House, to 17th street along Constitution Avenue. There is also a free concert given by the National Symphony Orchestra on the West Lawn of the Capitol with gates opening at 5pm and the concert beginning at 8pm. No description of Memorial Day in Washington DC activities would be complete without mentioning "Rolling Thunder," a motorcycle rally which starts at the Pentagon and ends at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Rolling Thunder Incorporated, advocates mainly for POW/MIA rights.
